The Cardinals' salary spotlight shifted instantly to wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who is scheduled to be paid considerably less than his receiving counterpart. Last season, the Cardinals offered Boldin a contract extension, and here's the key fact to consider: Boldin told them he wanted to wait for Larry Fitzgerald to finalize his new deal. Now that he has, it dwarfs Boldin's, whose average annual salary is three to four times less than Fitzgerald's. Philadelphia, Washington and Dallas have explored the possibility of acquiring a big-name wide receiver, only to find that there aren't any readily available. Now those teams could wind up exploring Boldin's availability. Boldin's decision will be whether or not to approach the Cardinals for an extension. His agent is the deal-making Drew Rosenhaus. It will be up to Rosenhaus to plot the best course of action for the 27-year-old Boldin. -- NFL Network

He reached 400 receptions in 67 games, the fastest in NFL history. He broke the record of Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow, who reached that milestone in 72 games.

WR Anquan Boldin is not letting up even though he is playing on a sore toe and the Cardinals are out of playoff contention. Boldin had two touchdown catches against the Falcons and made two other one-handed grabs, exposing his midsection to defenders.
"Not even," he said when asked if he ever thought of sitting out the game. "For me it was a big game. I know any time or any play could be my last play. If I'm able to go out there, I will."
Boldin caught his 400th career pass Sunday, reaching that mark faster than any player in NFL history. Boldin did it in 67 games, breaking Kellen Winslow's record of 72.
