CF Andruw Jones, who is hitting .261 (6 for 23) with three homers and eight RBI on his current rehab assignment with Las Vegas, is expected to be activated on Monday. Jones is playing first base because of knee pain he has felt since stepping in a hole in the outfield several days ago. But he is expected to play center field before rejoining the big club.

CF Andruw Jones missed his fourth consecutive game Friday on a minor-league rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday night at Colorado Springs after injuring his surgically repaired right knee when he stepped in a hole chasing a fly ball earlier this week. Jones' injury isn't believed to be serious, and he could return to the lineup as soon as Saturday. Jones is 3 for 9 with two home runs on this rehab. He did not appear in Las Vegas' 12-0 win over Colorado Springs Friday.

CF Andruw Jones was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Sunday, with an irritated patellar tendon in his left knee. He is expected to begin a rehabilitation assignment with Class AAA Las Vegas in the next few days. Jones earlier had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, after which he was supposed to spend about 2 1/2 weeks rehabbing at Las Vegas, but that assignment was cut short when OF Juan Pierre went on the DL on June 30. Jones has hit .153 in 31 games since returning.

OF Andruw Jones struck out with the tying runs on second and third and one out in the eighth inning. It was his 29th strikeout in 51 at-bats this season with runners in scoring position; he has four hits in those at-bats.
He did drive in James Loney from first with an RBI double to right-center in the fourth inning, a fact manager Joe Torre and extra hitting coach Jeff Pentland said is something to be encouraged about. But Jones is batting .166 overall.

OF Andruw Jones went hitless in three at-bats and is now hitting just .156 (7-for-45) with four RBIs in the 15 games since he returned from the disabled list July 4. He has 20 strikeouts in 50 plate appearances during that time. Jones also went 0-for-1 with a runner in scoring position and is now hitting .080 (4-for-50) in such at-bats for the season.

OF Andruw Jones left the game in the bottom of the fifth inning with flu-like symptoms. Before he left, Jones started the second half much the way he ended the first, striking out in each of his two plate appearances. Jones is now hitting .162 with 61 strikeouts in 191 plate appearances, an average of once every 3.1 times he steps into the box.

CF Andruw Jones, who has driven in at least 90 runs in each of the past eight seasons, singled home Angel Berroa with one out in the seventh inning, giving him nine RBIs for the year. He is now four for 19 with two RBIs, a walk and five strikeouts in six games since returning from a five-week stint on the disabled list Friday.

CF Andruw Jones singled in the eighth inning, his first hit since he homered off Milwaukee's Ben Sheets on May 15. Since being activated from the 15-day disabled list on Friday, Jones is now 1-for-10 with five strikeouts. He has now struck out 50 times in 164 plate appearances, an average of once every 3.3 times he steps into the box.
